Mechanical spare parts and tools donation from our German friends
Mr. Martin Lutter Johann, a good friend of the Director of Industrial DAIMLER TRUCK, Mr. Eckart Seybold, is a great supporter of Friends-International.
On June 8th, 2012, a box full of mechanical spare parts and tools was shipped to Mith Samlanh, the Friends program in Phnom Penh, from him in Germany. It was exciting for our Mechanics students to realize that a box had come to them from Germany, and as they had no idea what was in it, it was a huge surprise for them to see all the spare parts and new tools inside! When they opened the box, the smiles on their faces showed how excited they were. These things will help them as they learn to become mechanics.
In December last year, Mith Samlanh Mechanics students also received a truck engine (Mercedes Benz OM 366) and one Daimler truck gear box donated by Zahnradfabrik Friedrichshafen (ZF). The donation event was presided over by H.E Ith Samheng, Minister of Social Affairs Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation and the German Ambassador.
