ChildSafe In Siem Reap – Salabai

Salabai Hotel & Restaurant School in Siem Reap, Cambodia have been offering ChildSafe training to their students since 2008, when Ampor (current Director of Friends Kaliyan Mith Program) was the director of the School.

They sought out the training as child protection and the fight against poverty and human trafficking is one of the main focus areas of their project. Since 2016, the teachers have also followed the training and are now certified ChildSafe Agents!

“It was obvious for us to join this workshop and to train the students, to raise their awareness before they go to work and because they are the new generation who will educate their children.”
Today we are still convinced by the importance of doing this training and we will continue to put it on the schedule, even early in the school year, before their first internship” says Anne-Laure Bartenay, Communication Manager at Salabai School.

The next ChildSafe training for this new academic year at Salabai School will take place next month where 107 students will be trained.’
