August’s FUN FAIR will be making headlines

The NEWS sets the scene for August’s FUN FAIR on the 14^th of August, starting at a new time, from 8am to 12pm at the Mith Samlanh Center on street 13.

This FUN FAIR is hosting a special Front Page Fashion contest where teams will be picked out of the audience to design funky new wares on models using only newspaper, magazines, scissors and tape! The designers will be given a total of 20 minutes to execute their creative foresight before the models showcase the modern recycled designs for all to see. The audience will then be called to judge the outfits and choose the winning designers who will win some fab prizes including Friends n Stuff products and Cellcard branded merchandise.

Meet the Press is another feature of the August Fun Fair, where Mith Samlanh’s media team will be in among the crowds to get one on one scoops of what’s happening and their views on the event. The footage will then be screened for all to see and hear!

New circus gymnasts from the School of Fine Arts will join the show for the first time, while James Sutherland from Radio City returns for his second Fun Fair performance. The Mith Samlanh Talent Fest will also feature Mith Samlanh singers and dancers alongside some of Phnom Penh’s up and coming rising stars.

The exciting and ever growing GamesRoom will continue with a whole bunch of new games and prizes up for grabs – both onstage and inside the new GamesRoom.

The Fun Fair is a family oriented event that aims to provide more interaction between the residents of Phnom Penh and the Mith Samlanh team. It also hopes to generate greater awareness and support for Mith Samlanh’s programs for street children, their families and communities.

CellCard is continuing its support of the Fun Fair as the primary sponsor. Toys & Me are also joining the event as a supporting sponsor. The team from Silk Air Singapore is also providing support by volunteering with  promotional activities prior to the event and also on the day at the Fair.

Loads of games, entertainment, singing, dancing and fun for all – the FUN FAIR is perfect for a day out with the family and friends. Come and have fun at Mith Samlanh’s FUN FAIR!
