Social Enterprise in Cambodia – Building the Future
This Saturday (25th August) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, the second conference on Social Enterprise to be held in the country will take place. It will bring together academics, researchers, practitioners and policy makers from across the public, private and civil society sectors to generate deeper understanding about the mutual benefits of social enterprise. Friends-International will play a key role in this event – we are joint organizers along with the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) and the University of Bradford in the UK . Funding has come from the UK Department for International Development under the Development Partnerships in Higher Education (DelPHE) program.
Last years event was a great success, and his year will seek to build upon that success. The theme is ‘Why and how do we set up a Social Enterprise?’, and with a full day of workshop sessions and discussions facilitated by leaders in the field of Social Enterprise there is little doubt that expectations will be met.
The conference will be held in the Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC), at the Royal University of Phnom Penh from 8.30am until 4.30pm.
