FUN FAIR at Mith Samlanh
Formerly known as the Flea Market, Mith Samlanh is launching its new FUN FAIR on Saturday 8th August, at its Center on Street 13 between 8am to 12pm.
This first FUN FAIR will feature DJ Achaya, the Mith Samlanh breakdancers, a charity art auction and performances by leading local Khmer hip hop artists; Klap Ya Handz.
There will also be drama activities and ‘make your own crafts’ workshops run by volunteers and the Friends home based productions team. The popular Drum & Song Circle with Mr. Andy will continue and outside vendors are also invited to register, donating 10% of their sales to the Mith Samlanh Center.
To be held on a regular basis, the FUN FAIR aims to help create awareness of Friends/Mith Samlanh’s need for continued support towards the funding of Mith Samlanh’s loan repayments to secure the center and keep its work close to the children who need it the most.
With all Mith Samlanh staff, volunteers and students onboard and involved in the fundraising efforts, the FUN FAIR will kick off a new Cambodian Donations Campaign. This campaign aims to encourage Khmer to support other families in need with even the smallest of donations making a difference.
Beeline, the main sponsor of the FUN FAIR is donating various games with Beeline prizes up for grabs! Pizza Company is running a special games booth offering Pizza Company vouchers to the lucky winners. Pizza Company pizzas and Coca Cola sponsored refreshments are also on sale with all proceeds going towards the center.
With more games, stalls, food and music; the FUN FAIR is perfect for a fun day out with the family. Come, support and enjoy the new Mith Samlanh FUN FAIR!
