Youth from poor households in Cambodia find it difficult to break out of the poverty cycle and access gainful employment as they often lack formal education and adequate training required. Instead, they get trapped in low-paid jobs, working under hazardous conditions where they are at high risk of dangerous work, drug abuse, getting in conflict with the law, exploitation and trafficking. |

600 disadvantaged youth (14-24) per year are supported to access free, quality skills training at Mith Samlanh's Vocational Training center in Phnom Penh. At the center, students can choose between nine different skills trainings linked to market needs that will increase their employability in the Cambodian labour market. Integrated support is provided to all students; medical care, counselling, life skills education and general education. After graduation, students are supported to access employment or to start their own small business. |
