Praise For Peuan Mit In Vientiane Meeting

‘Today Peuan Mit had its annual Advisory Committee (AdCom) Meeting with participants including it’s ministry counterpart, the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare; Vientiane municipality and district stakeholders; and some major donors (EU and Aide et Action).

The meeting had an extremely positive result, as ministry officials and donors alike confirmed the continued need for the Peuan Mit program and the benefits of the services offered by the dedicated teams – evident in the report on beneficiary numbers, activities and financial position presented during the first half of the meeting.

Challenges, opportunities and future directions were also discussed with enthusiasm, with offers of support from many influential figures well received by Country Program Director Ketsone and the attending Peuan Mit and Friends-International team.

Friends-International Executive Director Sebastien Marot, who attended along with Friends’ International Program Coordinator Rebekah Kofoed, noted that the good cooperation with government and donors will allow us to achieve even better results next year, as all are working together in constructive ways. His encouragement energized participants as they look forward to continuing and improving Peuan Mit as a best practice project.’
