Boarding Pass in hand.\u00a0 Next stop Taipei. LA and then Mexico, where hopefully a cheery-faced Mexican in sombrero is standing next to Pierre, to take us to our hotel.<\/p>\n
Yesterday, in a moment of wisdom, I imagined the possible scenario of a flight delay or a \u2018lost in Mexico City airport\u2019 and the need to find the hotel all by myself.\u00a0 Prudently, I ask Pierre to send me the address, to which he responds, \u201cI think it is Texas Hotel.\u00a0 It is near Metro Guerero.\u00a0 Just exit and it is the second left after the dark-haired tortilla seller\u201d.\u00a0 I diligently note it down and move onto the next job on my \u201cTo Do\u201d list.<\/p>\n
Sitting now at the airport I all of a sudden realise how inanely blonde I had been to accept these directions.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think…\u201d should have been the first concern of mine; followed by \u201csecond left\u201d \u2013 do we presume one metro exit? \u2013 and, \u201ctortilla sellers\u201d that are \u201cdark-haired\u201d\u00a0 –\u00a0 perhaps a few to choose from in the sprawling, huge city of Mexico?!<\/p>\n
