Up to 4000 per day were returning recently, stretching the resources of ChildSafe Alliance (CSA) partners and the services they are able to provide to returnees. CSA partners are working at a <a href=\"http:\/\/friends-international.org\/blog\/index.php\/partnership-poipet-childsafe-alliance\/\">drop-in center<\/a> there to ensure safe reintegration and provide immediate service support when needed, particularly for migrant children and youth.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5219 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/friends-international.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Picture-2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"migrant1\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/friends-international.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Picture-2-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/friends-international.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Picture-2-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/friends-international.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Picture-2.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Last week the Alliance facilitated the first important strategic G2G (Government to Government) discussions between representatives from the relevant Cambodian and Thai Ministries, and from the CSA member NGO&#8217;s working with the migrants. These discussions took place in Bangkok, with the Thai Department of Social Development and Welfare (DSDW) represented by\u00a0Ms. Yuparet Wongboonmee, Vice General Director of Department of Social Development and Welfare and her department officers. The Cambodian Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation (MoSVY) was represented by\u00a0H.E Touch Channy, General director of Technical Directorate of MoSVY along with\u00a0department officers. The NGO sector was represented by attendees from\u00a0Peuan Peuan, Foundation for Better Life of Children, the Cambodian 3PC network, Damnok Toek and Friends-International.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5220 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/friends-international.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Picture-3-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"migrant2\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/friends-international.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Picture-3-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/friends-international.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Picture-3-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/friends-international.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Picture-3.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Discussions\u00a0centered around the general situation of migrant begging children and families in Thailand.
