When circumstances forced him to drop out of formal school, he refused to let that be the end of his education. Instead, he enrolled in an equivalency education program, determined to complete his studies and keep learning\u2014no matter how long it took.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Education for Ardi was never\u00a0just about himself. It was about his family\u2019s future.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the opportunity arose to join hospitality training through Yayasan Teman Baik, Ardi saw a path toward stable work. To prepare, he\u00a0participated\u00a0in soft skills training focused on communication, resilience, and work ethic\u2014skills he knew would matter just as much as technical knowledge.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Between training sessions, Ardi did not sit idle. He began selling&nbsp;pempek&nbsp;(fishcakes)&nbsp;during breaks, earning&nbsp;a&nbsp;small but meaningful income to help cover his family\u2019s daily needs. Each sale was a reminder of why he kept going: to support those who depended on him.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Ardi, access to alternative education and skills training changed everything.
