All of her kids attended school. Her husband unfortunately did not help with the family&#8217;s expenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Challenges<\/strong><br>Sunee was facing significant financial instability. Her daily income wasn&#8217;t enough to cover basic living costs, and she was in debt of almost $3000 to four people. Every day, she struggled to repay these loans, putting immense pressure on her finances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Small Business<\/strong><br>To make ends meet, Sunee ran a small business selling grilled squid and meatballs, earning at most $15 daily. The social workers conducted a family assessment and provided<br \/>support in several key areas:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;\"><strong>School Supplies<\/strong>:<br \/>They provided school materials for one child, helping to reduce household<br \/>expenses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;\"><strong>Debt Management<\/strong>:<br \/>Sunee received training on managing her debt and finances, which included<br \/>our latest regional debt campaign materials (see pic).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;\"><strong>Job Assistance<\/strong>:<br \/>The team helped her find a second job at a tea and coffee shop during the<br \/>day, allowing her to keep her food business running in the evening.<\/li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;\"><strong>Business Support<\/strong>:<br \/>They supplied raw materials and equipment to help stabilize her income and<br \/>break the cycle of borrowing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Personal Growth<\/strong><br \/>During this time, Sunee separated from her husband but continued to care for her three children on her own. The Peuan Peuan team maintained close follow-up throughout the process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Success<\/strong><br \/>After six months of support, by May 2025, Sunee had successfully cleared all her debts and started saving money.
