Andong community on the outskirts of Phnom Penh is now a hive of\u00a0 Home Based Production activity,and a great place to illustrate that as well as female caregivers, male caregivers can be actively involved in production activities to support their families through income generation. The community center is home to a screen printing project, creating printed materials for our projects and for outside customers,and as you can see from our photographs (some taken by Friends Executive Director Sebastien during an outreach visit last week, others last year by photographer Robert Buchan of the early stages of development of the project), it’s the men in the community who are active on the screen printing front, working here on the new machines recently installed to meet the demand for screenprinted products!<\/p>\n
