{"id":2820,"date":"2012-06-25T02:57:24","date_gmt":"2012-06-24T19:57:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.friends-international.org\/blog\/?p=2820"},"modified":"2014-04-30T09:20:16","modified_gmt":"2014-04-30T02:20:16","slug":"tree-is-here","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/friends-international.org\/blog\/index.php\/tree-is-here\/","title":{"rendered":"TREE is here!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are delighted to announce the launch of a <a title=\"TREE Alliance website\" href=\"http:\/\/tree-alliance.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">new website for the TREE project<\/a>, a global initiative from Friends which not only will get disadvantaged young people into training and on into employment in a fast-growing international market, but will provide a quality experience for customers also.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2821\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.friends-international.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/TREE-Alliance.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2821\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2821\" title=\"TREE-Alliance\" src=\"http:\/\/www.friends-international.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/TREE-Alliance-300x209.jpg\" alt=\"TREE Alliance\" width=\"300\" height=\"209\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2821\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Student at Friends the Restaurant, member of the TREE Alliance.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Standing for <strong>T<\/strong>raining <strong>R<\/strong>estaurants for <strong>E<\/strong>mployment and <strong>E<\/strong>ntrepreneurship, TREE takes the successful model of Friends training restaurants such as <a title=\"Friends the Restaurant Website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.friends-restaurant.org\" target=\"_blank\">Friends<\/a>, <a title=\"Romdeng Restaurant Homepage\" href=\"http:\/\/www.romdeng-restaurant.org\" target=\"_blank\">Romdeng<\/a> and <a title=\"Makphet website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.makphet-restaurant.org\" target=\"_blank\">Makphet<\/a> to a new level, offering a complete package to other organizations working with disadvantaged young people. They can be assisted to set up their own hospitality training program so that the young people they work with receive high quality training in a real working environment \u2013 a busy restaurant. Along with this training will come the social support needed to help them achieve their goal \u2013 employment in the hospitality industry or even setting up their own business.<\/p>\n<p>Want to know more?
