MEXICO

Friends started working in Mexico in 2008, providing support and training to its new CYTI Alliance partner, Associacion Mexicana Para Ninos y Juventuz (AMPRONYJ).

Friends-International’s objective in Mexico is to contribute to the improvement of social services available for marginalized children and youth. Friends-International does this by creating partnerships with existing NGOs and providing them with training based on Friends-International’s experience, to improve their capacity to provide high quality services to children and youth.

Training provided to AMPRONYJ in Mexico includes improving non-formal education activities and case management, improving security and hygiene in APRONYJ shelter, training on managing budgets, reporting on outcomes, support and training on fundraising and communication.


Friends-International and its local partner AMPRONYJ, provide support to street living children and youth, and street living families. Support is provided to 800 children and youth each year.
