One example of how this works in practice is currently happening in Siem Reap, Cambodia, where the Kaliyan Mith Siem Reap (KMSR) program is currently doing needs assessments and beneficiary evaluations across all of their\u00a0outreach zones in the city and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.friends-international.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_6871.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4716\" src=\"http:\/\/www.friends-international.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_6871-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6871\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/friends-international.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_6871-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/friends-international.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_6871-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The first zone\u00a0targeted\u00a0is the River Bank in central Siem Reap, where street living and\/or working youth generally hang out in the evenings. \u00a0Last night (Monday 25th May) social workers Sothy, Sokheng, Ravan, and Technical Advisor Anna\u00a0went out for a second time\u00a0from 9pm-1am to conduct 20-minute interviews with as many youth as they could find. The aim of the interviews is to find out &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0If River Bank youth know about, and are accessing, KMSR services<\/li>\n<li>What they think of these services<\/li>\n<li>How KMSR\u00a0can improve their services<\/li>\n<li>If \u00a0they\u2019re not accessing services, why not, and how can KMSR remove potential barriers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.friends-international.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_6868.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4715\" src=\"http:\/\/www.friends-international.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_6868-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6868\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/friends-international.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_6868-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/friends-international.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_6868-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/friends-international.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_6868.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The KMSR outreach team will also be conducting a similar process this week in Trapeang Seh, which is a village located near to\u00a0Angkor Wat, which will allow them to get a holistic picture of the biggest challenges currently facing this community.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll be posting more information on this process in the weeks to come!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The active participation of young people and beneficiary groups is crucial to how Friends develops its service provision.
